I support private businesses and U.S. government agencies with engineering and compliance-related activities. I have a technical background with expertise in various engineering disciplines, program management, international relations, and compliance.

I have a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from Boston University and M.S. degrees in both Astronautical Engineering and Computer Engineering from the Air Force Institute of Technology. I spent 7 years as an Officer in the U.S. Air Force, serving as an Aerospace Engineer specializing in UAVs and air-launched weapons systems. As a government contractor, I have worked for numerous government agencies on several different programs, ranging from designing UAV prototypes at the National Geospatial Intelligence Agency, to providing Information Assurance for the Navy’s Distributed Common Ground System, to working as a Senior Systems Engineer on a NASA CubeSat program. From 2009-2011, I lived in Taipei, Taiwan where I was the U.S. Government’s liaison to the Taiwan Government and Systems Engineer on the COSMIC-2 Program. I also served for two years as the Director of Corporate Compliance at a 600+ person defense contracting company in the Washington D.C. metro area.

I am a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), a Certified U.S. Export Compliance Officer (CUSECO), and a Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP).  I am proficient in Mandarin Chinese.

I support private businesses and universities across the United States with their export compliance programs from initial development to program maintenance, including obtaining export licenses and agreements and conducting program audits and training. My experience with export control includes six years as a Foreign Service Officer posted in Taipei, Taiwan and Afghanistan, which included a primary role in the State Department’s export control enforcement program.  Additionally, I served six years in the United States Air Force as an Acquisition Program Manager for satellite communication and satellite ground station systems, which included multiple trips to Afghanistan, Romania, and Korea. I built Montana State University’s research compliance program, which is a Carnegie Research Institution with approximately $100 million dollars in research expenditures. This includes corporate compliance, animal care, biological agent, including Responsible Official for CDC’s Select Agent & Toxins, biosafety, and the position of Empowered Official (EO) for export control, with a focus on optics, satellite research and military research contracts.  I have a B.S. in Business and Public Administration from the University of Arizona and an M.A. in Political Science from Northeastern University.  I am a Certified U.S. Export Compliance Officer (CUSECO) and am fluent in Mandarin Chinese.
